London Straham 1778-81. Heavily bumped and rubbed with some spine damage. Content mostly good but a few loose or damaged pages. Numerous full page b/w plates. 420mm x 270mm (17" x 11")

Condition report:
Overall : Worn covers containing good condition text and plates. Occasional light foxing/stains throughout all four volumes.

Volume 1
Covers: Bumped and rubbed . Head and heel of spine slightly worn, but generally good. Small signs of worm (extinct). Corners of boards are worn, but edges are in good condition.
Content: Mostly good. Fep frail, some pull out diagrams have tears. Towards the back, there are creases in pages and worm (extinct) at edges.
Plates: 1 frontis + 5 plates present (3 of which are miscreased; and 1 of these is damaged and torn).

Volume 2
Covers: Bumped and rubbed. Head and heel of spine slightly worn . Crack along edge of spine. Spine title strip partly missing. Corners of boards are worn but edges in good condition. Signs of edge wear on back board.
Content: Mostly good. Fep missing. Some worm (extinct) at edges of front pages. Some pull out diagrams are loose and have tears. Ffep missing. Bookplate partly torn.
Plates: 33 present (including 1 damaged and miscreased fold-out plate).

Volume 3
Covers: Heavily bumped and rubbed with some spine damage. Cracks along edges of spine. Boards loosening. Corner of spine title strip partly missing. Corners of boards and edges are worn.
Content: Mostly good. Bottom spine opening up due to spine damage . Some pull out diagrams are loose and have tears. Rear endpaper missing.
Plates: 25 present (the last 6 of these have miscreased lower corners, which impinge).

Volume 4
Covers: Heavily bumped and rubbed with some spine damage. Cracks along edges of spine. Boards loosening. Corner of spine title strip partly missing. Corners of boards and edges are worn.
Content: Mostly good. Some pull out diagrams are loose and have tears. Endpapers missing. Title page and first text page miscreased and detached.
Plates: 74 present (the last 5 of these plates are miscreased).
