Here we find a much smaller binding and if the binder wants to use the same tools that he has employed on larger bindings he will be forced to change his design layout strategy. From the data given for this binding we see that it covers more than one publication, the oldest being printed around 1518. This is another indication that the bindings we have been looking at from this atelier probably derive from this date or later as the dauphin roulettes on our next binding Gid 150 also confirm. |
