Martin Gardner's The Colossal Book of Mathematica: Classic Puzzles, Paradoxes and Problems.

The first Chinese magic and puzzle treastise published in 1889.

Ji Huan Hui Bian ‹ "Collected Wonders of Magic" ‹ is widely regarded as the most important Chinese treatise on conjuring and illusion ever published. First appearing in 1889, it contains detailed descriptions of traditional sleight of hand, mechanical devices, and performance routines used by Chinese magicians during the late Qing dynasty. Long considered a national treasure among historians of stage magic, the book mysteriously vanished from public archives in recent years. Some believe its contents revealed secrets too potent to remain accessible. Others whisper it may have been the work of a foreign mystic, writing under a pseudonym. Whatever the truth, the Ji Huan Hui Bian remains a legendary and elusive volume ‹ now lost to time.
