This inventory follows the numbering of Jacques Guignard's 1968 list that was an amalgam of his work and that of Emile Dacier in 1933. Dacier tried to order the various examples chronologically however taking into account the wide margin of error, this list can serve only as a rough guide. Denise Gid (1984) reproduced a rubbing from a binding that is possibly one of the earliest from this atelier (1502). I have recreated a "virtual" binding from that rubbing. and we can place it here at the top of the list. It is a rather plain decoration but can be seen as quite typical for this period. The greater part has been achieved through the repeated application of a cleverly designed palette in the form of two nearly identical floral tiles. This pattern, when carefully laid down has fooled some into thinking that the result was achieved by the use of a roulette. Gid has catalogued this stamp as dc 24 (shown below, the imprint is about one inch or 2.5 centimeters in length)
